I absolutely love it when I start reading a post or an article, click on a link and end up finding a gold mine of beautiful homes, travel destinations and gorgeous photographs and links that lead into yet more new discoveries.
I love finding the websites of talented photographers that capture beauty in the simplest things. Still life, interiors, landscapes, exotic destinations or even just an everyday event, it takes talent to photography them all and Idha Lindhag is one of these talented people.
Growing up I was never much of a reader but the older I get the more comfort I take in books and the stories, adventures and characters that lie in each wonderful page. I believe that a home should never ever be without books so weather its a whole library equipped with a grand Chesterfield and sliding ladder or just a single, beautiful book shelf crammed with books on every possible topic, what is more comforting than knowing there are so many new worlds to escape into sitting right there, in your own home.
Its made my must-have list, maybe only one day when I’m old and grey but a warn soft leather Chesterfield is a statement piece that screams sophistication. Its a classic piece of furniture known for sitting at the centre of a study or library but its so beautiful that, if I had one I’d style it as an everyday item.
Clean, white and natural. Wonderful thoughts of summer, long hours in the sun and salty sea air engulf me when I see houses like this.
The summer house of designer Paola Navone (photographed by Jerome Galland) is a heavenly escape. Natural stone, light breezy rooms and a raised sitting area is the perfect retreat after a hard day relaxing.
Thank you all for reading my blog by the way, I honestly didn’t think anyone would.
