Art Simplicity

We went to the Van Gogh museum yesterday and I have a confession to make, we only went because we could get in for free through Simon’s work. I’ll be honest, I’m not very cultured (sorry Mom). Not even half way through, after accidently taking a photo of something I wasn’t allowed to take a photo of and being told to delete it there and then my attention went to looking at peoples shoes and judging (some very terrible) hair styles.

Although I can’t stand in front of historically famous art in a turtle neck and John Lennon glasses, speaking in farts about brush strokes and texture, I sure can appreciate everyday people with artistic talent and I am loving these sketches from The Crazy Bag Lady. I love how simple they are, black and white, just my style.

Cape Town

I came across this Cape Town travel post on The Fresh Exchange. Cape Town in beautiful, as is the whole of South Africa and although I got a bit home sick reading the post, I’m so glad that there is so much beauty in a country that’s often bashed for all its politics and drama.

Read the whole adventure here, its worth it.

Featuring the Spanish

When I first discovered fashion blogs I thought I’d died and gone to heaven and what added to my excitement was that the ones I first started following were Spanish, reaffirming my idea that they are probably some of the most stylish people on the planet. (From then on I always thought if I could change my nationality I’d most definitely be a Spaniard)

More than two years down the line I still follow those Spanish style blogs and think now’s the time to pay homage to my top 5.

Enjoy.

1. LA’s Blog
This is the very first personal fashion blog I ever found and it never slips my mind to read it. She’s cute, she’s herself, she wears whatever she likes and she makes it look so stylish.
